THE FULL ENGLISH named 2017 Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards Winner.

CHICAGO—On Friday, June 22, Creative Writer PRO is pleased to announce THE FULL ENGLISH has been named a winner in the 20th annual Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards on Friday June 15th. THE FULL ENGLISH received the gold award for best nonfiction adult humor.

Foreword Reviews, a book review journal focusing on independently published books, announced the winners of its INDIES Book of the Year Awards today. The INDIES recognize the best books published in 2017 from small, indie, and university presses, as well as self-published authors. You can view all of the winners at:

“Whatever. I’m awesome. Everyone wants to be me. I hate bagpipes,” said author, BULL GARLINGTON, adding “Writing this book was an arduous experience filled with terrifying moments wherein I faced death itself. I was on a hermetically sealed bus filled with the elderly for 15 days, each starting with a traditional English breakfast–after which the book is named–consisting almost entirely of beans. I fought a little old lady for 1,500 miles over seating arrangements. I’d do it again. I’m still in therapy.”

Over 2,000 entries were submitted in 68 categories, with Foreword’s editors choosing the finalists, and a panel of over 150 librarians and booksellers acting as judges to pick the winners.
