Someone posted that meme with a picture of a garden with the phrase ‘this is the awning of the cage of asparagus’ and the song bloomed in my mind and now it’s there.

Why was I awake at 3:30 in the morning trolling facebook? Because. That’s why.

I remember when I first heard this song. I was seven years old. The song came out when I was and it went platinum so I heard it all the time. Somehow in my mind, it’s from a commercial. And it’s counterpart, Let the Sunshine In, was used is a PSA in 1970. In fact, when I was thinking about this song this morning at 3:30 am I was trying to remember what it was advertising when I recalled that it was originally in the movie Hair, which I didn’t see until my [attorney] made me watch it 500 million years ago when we were dating.

But I was a kid and I was poorly educated at 5 and had not completed my training in astrology so I was unaware of Aquarius and instead thought they were singing Age of Aquariums. No one corrected me for some time.
